This is priceless....

INCREDIBLE BUT TRUE...an Ebay seller has seen fit to sell first an autographed photo by Greg, now Wayne. For once, the mighty-mouthed one was initially speechless - but not for long. "Im just STUNNED! Apart from my last h.p. lender, who would want a signed anything from me? Im half flattered, half suspicious. But I\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'ll be totally delighted if I can whup Alcock\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s ass, who achieved the princely sum of £1.99, ha, ha! Y\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'see, it\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s all about the pecking order...now, now people, don\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t let me down - crazy or not, get them there bids in and nudge a fiver. And to the ebay seller - son, I\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'m your new best friend. Now, what can you get for me old tee shirts....?"

Erm...interested parties can try cutting and pasting the following link into their browser:

Wayne also informed us that Sothebys have politely declined his offer to auction further personal effects, with him personally auctioneering in the style of Phil Lynott, Rusty Lee, Norman Beaton, or Sammy Davis Jnr.. Strange, that. Don\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t they know who he is?

Rhodes home...

Hi honies - we\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'re back! Just returned home from Rhodes Rock 08 and boy, did Rhodes Rock! Blistering perfromances, partying until dawn and generally the opportunity to forge a stronger bond between bands and rock fans alike that will surely produce many a lasting friendship - and all against the most idyllic background you could imagine! This is definitely the start of something very special and can only get bigger. A full report is to follow but meanwhile, suffice to say that this was without doubt the absolute untoppable event of the year! And the Limehouse massive - you did us PROUD! Turning out in force and urging us on through, at times, some difficult conditions. A heartfelt and emotional THANKS to you all - we felt the love and its coming right back at ya! The other bands were magnificent and are truly masters of their craft - a big Thank You to Letz Zep, Think Floyd and Are You Experienced? for being such great company, making this a trip of a lifetime. Watch this space for news of next years RhodesRock - folks, memories are made of this...

Thanks to Geoff and Linda Bridges for their kind words regarding Rhodes Rock \\\\\\\'08 in a recent letter to Classic Rock Magazine, "Limehouse Lizzy put on a rousing performance and once again were fronted by someone with plenty of charisma in Wayne Ellis. These guys rock. You can stick your wet and muddy UK festivals. Sun, sea, sand and Rock ‘n Roll is where it’s at. Roll on RhodesRock ‘09

Death of John Earle...

John "Irish" Earle, who Thin Lizzy fans will know for his famous sax solo in Dancing In The Moonlight, sadly passed away last week. He will be missed not only for his contribution to popular music with acts such as Ian Dury & The Blockheads, Graham Parker Band and, of course, Thin Lizzy (to name but a few), but also for his warmth of character and friendship.

A special My Space web site has been set up and all arrangements will be posted there in due course.
