Welcome, Lizzy Lovers! JAILBREAK TOUR 2015… We came. We performed. And in the words of the Funkadelic maestro George Clinton, WE TORE THE ROOF OF DA SUCKA! Yes, what was definitely the biggest, hardest edged and, well, most badass tour we have ever been involved with, the mighty, “Jailbreak 2015” tour with our sparring partners Livewire the AC/DC show, drew to a close last month. Highlights? Well, they were aplenty but we couldn’t choose between the 2 biggest – the ABC Glasgow, and Shepherds Bush Empire, and here’s why… | |||

Shepherds Bush Empire was mobbed! Photo by Sarah Gentil. So, London and Glasgow, if you enjoyed these gigs, but want to witness the full Limehouse set in all its 3D glory, lookout for the following dates:- A blockbusting return to London, with our only show ‘up the smoke’ this summer/autumn, we play the legendary Garage in Highbury, London on Sat 4th July. And for the Glasgow massive, pin a note to the fridge that we are boarding the equally legendary Ferry, Anderston Quay, Glasgow on 1st Oct. So well received was this tour that rumour, speculation, intimation, hints and innuendo already abound in the darkened corridors of power about a possible repeat next year. We’ll deffo keep you posted. But meanwhile, a heartfelt thanks to all of you in the Limehouse posse who turned out and showed support – you did us proud! And also our Special Forces Crew – Matt, Hard-Rock Harvey (Dave), Nayab and Ben who were simply magnificent in our hour of need, as usual! GORRA GIG, GUV? Hmm, we’ve had a gig drop-out on Saturday 19th June. As we have done previously (with fantastic success!), we’re asking if there’s any venues or willing promoters out there who’d like to work with us to fill the date? We give full promotional from local to national backup and support and just ask that any venue that we work with undertake local promotion with the posters and flyers we will provide. Hey and not too far north – we’ve got to be in Southend the day after (beggars? choosy? Dunno what you mean…!). We’ve also had the same for Saturday 10th October, a cancellation, so the same applies if you’re up for it? ‘Til the next time… Wayne, Greg, Tim and Lee |
Welcome, Lizzy Lovers!
Well…this is it! After all the press releases, interviews, well-deserved hype, blah-blah’s and yada-yada’s, the ‘Jailbreak 2015’ tour with our partners in rock LIVEWIRE/DC tour, at last hit the ground running for its’ inaugural launch at both CORONATION HALL, Ulverston last Friday and finally left a very packed DIAMOND LIVE in Doncaster smouldering on Saturday!
HOWEVER…events are starting to run away with us, as the latest news is that HOLMFIRTH is already completely SOLD OUT – and it’s not for another 2 weeks! Possibly a sign of things to come? No matter – if you missed out on this and want to see the show, maybe try MANCHESTER ACADEMY where there are still some tickets available. But, in the words of Van Halen, “fair warning”…

Click flyer above for tickets/info.
So, at the risk of sounding like your nagging other half, make sure you get your tickets early for this tour…
I VANT TO BE ALONE…lest ye forget, we’re still doing our own ‘standalone’ shows until the end of this tour (April), taking place on most Thursdays of each week. And we’re planning a lot of fun with different songs that we’ve been messing with over the months, as both a spot of R&R and also as a contrast to just the Greatest Hits jam that we’ll be doing on the ‘JAILBREAK’ gig. So. if you fancy a whole lot less o’ Rosie and more Lizzy hits ‘n’ bits, come and spend time with us stretching out on Thursday nights…
Speaking of which…
NEW GIGS:
Just added – THE BEACON COURT in Gillingham on 30th April… We were gutted to hear our old mucker Simon Olley is leaving the venue after putting bands on down there for so many years. The Kent Medway towns have a great tradition for live music, and Simon has been an absolute flag bearer for the region. We wish him the very best of luck in his new ventures, and we are calling on ALL of you to come down and help give him a riotous ‘Limehouse’ send off at this one!
Tickets are selling well for newbie, THE GREYHOUND in Beeston, Notts. on 19th March. Hailed as a ‘mini Rock City’, we advise that you get tickets early for this one to ensure entry. As you will know or recent show nearby at the Flowerpot sold out, so…well, we don’t wanna nag ya…again!
Lastly, we will be back at the WYESIDE ARTS CENTRE in Builth Wells on 16th April. Had lots of requests to return to mid Wales, so it’s great to be coming back to such a quality venue. Hopefully doing some more work with the students at Builth Wells High school, and inviting some of them down for the show too! Had a blast last time doing a feature in their school magazine, so we are really looking forward to this one.
Our full gig list down to the end of July follows HERE. Write ‘em down in your diary, shortcut ‘em on your smartphone, home page ‘em on your tablet, put a post-it on the fridge, and tell all your friends! Please help us ‘spread the word around’ and we’ll see you out there…
