MARCH NEWS AND TOUR DATES!

OYEZ, OYEZ - NOW FOR DA NEWS...

SHOULDERING ON...

The update on Wayne's shoulder procedure is that the consultant overseeing his recuperation still will not commit to an actual date to sign him off. However, a further appointment is scheduled for April, meaning that a return to stage duty in May is "a possibility'. Meanwhile, Paul Johnson continues to wow the crowds with his own inimitable take on the Thin Lizzy canon, for which we remain eternally grateful and beholden!

RESCHEDULE

With the recuperation period being extended way longer than previously anticipated  and Paul having already having had commitments in place, this will unfortunately mean more rescheduling of certain dates, the first being RIGA LIVE MUSIC @ O’NEILLS, Southend-on-sea this coming Good Friday (25th). This gig will now be rescheduled to THURSDAY 5TH MAY at the same venue and please note that ALL TICKETS REMAIN VALID FOR THIS NEW DATE. If you need a refund, these can be obtained from your original point of sale. BUT…we hope you'll keep a hold of your ticket and come along to celebrate a belated Easter Jolly-up with us!

Other dates to be rescheduled will follow within the week.

ROCK’IT, MAN…

With our usual Tamworth haunt, The Assembly Rooms, being out of action for refurb, we’re filling in with a gig at the delectably named ROCK’IT BAR on April 7th. Unlike the sprawling acreage of the Ass’y Rooms, this is lining up to be the polar opposite, i.e., one of those banged out, propah rock bars like back in the day, when we were young, muscular and had hair to toss about in wild abandon (and that actually was some of the girls!)….deffo worth checking out, just for the name alone!

And finally, a shout - well, recall -  going out to the Plymouth-massive for our welcome return to the fair city after years away, by way of a showing at THE HUB on April 1st. In the past we’ve enjoyed some phenomenal gigs there, right back to The Brittania (ooh…getting a bit misty-eyed, now!) and who could forget the infamous-but-legendary Cooperage?!? I swear, playing that gig was like winning the lottery (smile if you’re in the know…)…

Right, enough goss - we’ve got acupuncture, reiki, leeches to apply and reconstructive torso surgery for a poorly singer out back.

Tour dates down to the end of July follow are now online HERE, so get ‘em in the diary and spread the word around!

‘Til the next time…

WAYNE SICKNOTE UPDATE:

Further news on the Return Of The (Big)Mac - after a Tuesday consultation with his witchdo…er, consultant, the shock news for our fading Supergob is that he has now been told to rest up until mid-March. Meaning that the all-clear for his proposed return should be late March (please note, the medics are extremely reluctant to commit to actual dates for obvious reasons…i.e, the Brothers will come and git ‘em!).

Meanwhile, the reports on ‘stand-in’ Paul Johnson’s performances are nothing but glowing - it seems he’s being exceedingly well-received by the Lizzy Massive at every show (somebody,  somewhere who uses vast amounts of hair-care products is getting nervous….).

So, apologies (or congratulations!) to those who thought they’d be seeing the Naomi Campbell of the tribute world at the helm but will be party to the particularly pulse-racing prowess of bass-pummelling and lung-puncturing vocals of Sir Paul and the usual Limehouse beauties backing him up on stage.

A final word from old Deathbed Dan: “you know I don’t do Facebook and the like but I want to say a massive ‘Thank You’ to all the well-wishers who have contacted me personally or via social-media, it has been very touching. And thanks also to you all for supporting and receiving Paul so graciously (and totally deservedly) and to Paul himself for stepping up to plate so magnificently with such short notice. ’Til the next time!”

Ok, you’ve got the Oscar - now turn it in, son….

PS: for anyone who bought tickets for the Leek and Evesham shows, the shows have been rescheduled and your tickets remain valid. Please see tour dates here: http://www.limehouselizzy.co.uk/tour_dates.php.
