WELL…we were rather hoping that the seemingly perpetual pealing of the pandemic paean would slowly recede gently into the background, much like that of Hatt Mancock’s (or whatever ‘is name was?) career and hairline. But that virulent virus, that pesky pestilence, that lurid lurgy, seemingly ain’t for quittin’ - broodily lurking like Scrooge’s malevolent shadow in the background. That, coupled with that there SuperCold seems to have touched everyone recently at some point or other.
Not that that’s thwarted our intrepid Lizzy followers, who have been turning out in some force since our return to the stage, giving us 4 sellout shows in the process - which we wouldn’t dare have dreamt of so early in the proceedings!
We march on…
PLUGGING THE LEEK…this Friday 12th marks our return to the Foxlowe Arts Centre in Leek. Being a picturesque town with lovely restaurants - and oh, a Thin Lizzy tribute playing - what’s there not to like?
Y LEICESTER? WHY NOT…look - it’s The Y Theatre in Leicester, it’s one of the best rooms on the UK circuit, it’s this Saturday (12th) and it’s selling ludicrously well, right as we speak - what more do you need to know?? DON’T MISS OUT! AGAIN!
STABLE-IZED…speaking of which, the rumour mill has it that The Stables in Milton Keynes (November 18th) either has already sold out or is near as dammit. Our advice? Get on the virtual blower and bag yerself some last knockin’ tickets for one of the best venues this side of the Budokan…
THE ART OF THE PLOUGH…as we will demonstrate at the Plough Arts Centre in Gt Torrington waayyy down there (especially if you’re coming from Bolton) in Devon on November 19. And yes, the complaints are somewhat true, we don’t get down that end of the country nearly enough. It’s a rare chance for both ends to meet!
AND NOW FOR YOUR SWEET…er, have we told you that as from November 25th, for a month we have been duly elected to be Special Guests of none other than the absolute ’70’s Glam Legends THE SWEET! No? Oh…well, we are! So, as the diner asked in the French restaurant - waiter, do you have frogs legs? Then hop on over to the numerous ticket vendor points and Ballroom-Blitz tickets for you, your better half - wether that be your Little Willy or Co-Co - or any amount from one to The Sixteens and above and grab a piece of the Action for this utter Blockbuster of a tour (ok - we couldn’t fit Wigwam Bam in!)
